I’m pretty sure that’s a shop. I’ve seen a few shops in my time. I can tell by the pixels.

Dunno if I can do that, but here’s an 80px by 120px shop of your request for a shop.

What is wrong with me that I see that and think, simultaneously, “wow that is awesome” and “Holy ExxonValdez that would cost a fortune to heat”

exactly, this is to keep your toys out of the elements, not to let your wife control the thermostat.

You read my mind. The power bill to keep it warm and comfortable for wrenching would be crazy.

PV cells on the entire roof, electric pumps to run geothermal radiant heat in the floor. I mean, if you want to spend all the money up front, that is.

I'm American so no, I do not want to pay more money upfront for a superior product.

When you’re working you don’t want it 70 degrees anyway.

Why would you heat the entire shop? Build “offices” in like 20% of the shop, heat that. The rest you just keep above freezing.

Doc’s hangar is intended to be 50° in the coldest of winter. A long sleeve T-shirt is plenty to keep warm when working.

I’d totally do it, but I’m not a typical person. The problem is that as it stands it doesn’t have any of this.

I agree. I mean, the lack of efficient heating system isn’t the *only* thing preventing me from having such a building.....

I wouldn’t build a giant garage / shop to sit in an office and post to Oppo about what I’d do with a giant shop... I’d be out there working on the fleet!
